We are looking to recruit a Head of Workforce Development to lead this service.
About The Role
As the Head of the Council's Workforce Development Service, you will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of workforce development activity and intervention which are integral to the successful delivery of ‘Our Greenwich’ corporate plan and its stated missions to improve how the Council works, making sure that Greenwich is an adaptive organisation; enabling it to navigate the challenges it faces while remaining financially sustainable; to work in the most efficient and effective ways possible; to ensure our Council is a great place to work.
The role will lead and manage key strategic plans and projects that support the implementation of the Council’s Organisational and Workforce Development Strategies that help recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce with the right skills, are motivated and empowered to deliver high quality services to the residents of Royal Greenwich.
About You
Using your creative skills, you will be able to undertake workforce needs analyses, develop workforce plans, identify creative solutions, commission and deliver a range of workforce development interventions to meet organisational and directorate priorities.
As an effective communicator, both verbal and written, you will be comfortable presenting to senior managers, external partners and providers.
You will have proven project management skills and leadership skills, to effectively allocate and supervise tasks. Be able to manage and motivate project group members to ensure effective performance.
