As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and supporting the services and applications that power our Group Content Platform. You’ll collaborate closely with your team to deliver high-quality, maintainable code and contribute to improving the platform through every stage of the software development lifecycle. You take full ownership of your work, stay solution-focused when challenges arise and communicate clearly to keep your team aligned.

What You'll Do

• Build cloud-based services and applications that form part of our Group Content Platform.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle - from design and implementation (primarily using C# & Java) through to testing, deployment and support.
• Contribute to the stability of our live services by supporting and enhancing existing applications & providing third-line production support once you’re up to speed.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers and testers in an Agile scrum team.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and delivery planning.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Solid experience in system development using .NET (C#), SQL (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (e.g., Couchbase, MongoDB).
• Comfortable working with agile delivery practices, clean code principles (like SOLID) and common patterns used in scalable application design.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React/Redux, Node.js).
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes), including version control and build tools (e.g. GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy).
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (e.g. Pytest, Groovy, Spock).
• A team-first mindset, with strong communication skills and a willingness to take initiative.
