Position Title: Community Care SolicitorLocation: London, Brighton, Cornwall, Bristol. They are known for their modern approach to legal aid and high standards of client care.Position Overview:My client is seeking an experienced and ambitious Community Care Solicitor to join their dynamic legal aid practice. The successful candidate will have a strong background in community care and public law, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to vulnerable individuals.Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out all allotted casework promptly and efficiently.
• Analyse legal matters and advise clients on appropriate courses of action.
• Communicate clearly and regularly with clients, adhering to client care standards.
• Handle routine correspondence, negotiations, and advocacy as required.
• Accurately record time spent on casework, ensure cases are billed, and payments are collected promptly.
• Comply with Legal Aid Agency requirements for funded work.
• Stay updated with legal developments relevant to community care and public law.
• Provide supervision where appropriate and report to supervisors when needed.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience in community care and/or Court of Protection law.
• Proven ability to handle diverse casework and communicate effectively with clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working to targets.
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Legal Aid funding and CCMS.
• Current Practising Certificate.
• Commitment to upholding the rights of vulnerable people and ensuring access to justice.

Desirable:

• Experience in supervising team members.
• Knowledge of current policies and legal aid schemes.
