Exciting Opportunity: Site Manager/Contracts Manager Position
Following a productive meeting with one of my key clients, I am pleased to announce that I have been commissioned to recruit a Site Manager/Contracts Manager for a distinguished fit-out contractor. This respected company has recently established a specialist re-cladding division and is seeking to expand its talented team following an internal promotion.

Impressive Turnover: Annual turnover of £120M, delivering projects valued between £30M and £90M.

Strategic Presence: Offices located in Kent and Central London.

Re-cladding Division: Launched two years ago, currently achieving £5M turnover with a pipeline projected to reach £20M by 2026.

Leadership: Directors have been with the company for over a decade, progressing from assistant roles to senior leadership positions.
Specialist Works Division

Managing four live projects, with an additional four at the tender stage.

Project locations include Bromley-by-Bow, Wimbledon, Newbury, Bermondsey, and Tower Bridge.

A growing and ambitious team of 10 professionals, with plans for expansion to meet increasing demands.

Projects range in value from £1.5M to £9M.
Job Purpose:
The re-cladding Contracts Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of re-cladding projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves leading a team, liaising with clients, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Leadership & Oversight: Managing a team of Site Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Health & Safety: Upholding exceptional standards of health and safety across all sites.

Reporting: Communicating progress directly to the client and the Construction Director.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee re-cladding projects from inception to completion.

Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.

Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.

Team Leadership:
-
Manage and support Site Managers and other project staff.
-
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Client Liaison:
-
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.

Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Health & Safety Compliance:
-
Ensure all projects adhere to health and safety regulations.
-
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high safety standards.

Budget Management:
-
Monitor project budgets and control costs effectively.
-
Prepare financial reports and forecasts.
-

Quality Assurance:
-
Uphold the highest standards of quality in all aspects of project delivery.

Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with specifications.

The person:
Proven experience in contracts management within the construction or re-cladding sector.
- Worked for a main contractor and have experience of JCT Design & Build contracts.
- multiple project exposure is preferred but not essential

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Ability to manage budgets and financial reporting.
