We are currently recruiting a Resident DJ to join our Layered Reality team at Elvis Evolution (www.elvisevolution.com).

We combine live theatre (actors, movie-scale sets, and special effects) together with the latest digital technology, plus physical sensations (sight, sound, smell, touch and movement) to create a unique immersive experience that is truly memorable.

You will be self-motivated with a can-do attitude whilst ensuring we deliver and maintain high standards of costume throughout this cutting-edge experience. On a daily basis, this role will make sure that the team are in the correct costumes at all times, ensuring that our guests are completely immersed in the world that is created from the moment they step inside our doors.

Position Summary:

As a DJ at Elvis Evolution, you will be responsible for delivering vibrant, high-energy sets that elevate the guest experience in the All Shook Up bar. You bring a natural charisma and a deep understanding of audience dynamics, key qualities in creating a memorable post-show atmosphere. This role plays a central part in driving audience engagement and retention after the main performance, keeping energy levels high and the celebration going strong.

You will alternate with a live band, creating a seamless musical experience that blends classic Elvis energy with modern flair. Your ability to read the room and adapt your set on the fly will be essential in maintaining the vibe and flow of the venue.

Scope & Responsibilities:

Perform 15-minute DJ sets each hour, on a rotating schedule with a live band who will perform a 45-minute set.

Curate music aligned with the Elvis Evolution brand, balancing nostalgic tones with contemporary energy

Maintain momentum and audience engagement during band breaks and post-show transitions

Adapt music choices in real-time based on audience response and mood.

Collaborate closely with the band, bar team, and production staff to ensure smooth set transitions

Prepare, test, and manage equipment and sound setup; report any technical issues as needed

Represent the spirit of the production through music choices, personal presentation, and audience interaction

Maintain punctuality and be performance-ready according to show scheduling

Contribute to the overall aesthetic and soundscape of the All Shook Up bar experience

Support occasional themed events or guest DJ collaborations

This position will require a degree of flexibility depending on audience turnout and how busy the venue is, particularly during peak nights and special events

Background & Experience:

Proven live DJ experience in venues such as bars, theatres, events, or clubs

Strong technical knowledge of DJ software/hardware

Demonstrated ability to engage and energize live audiences

Experience working in a rotating or collaborative performance environment preferred

Understanding of theatrical environments and audience expectations
