We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cyber Analytics team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Cyber Analytics team currently consists of a diverse group comprising actuaries, threat intelligence analysts and cat modellers in London. We are a truly global team working on large multinational clients, collaborating closely with our broking and analytical colleagues in several regions.

We will count on you to:
- The successful candidate will work as part of the embedded London analytic team, working closely with brokers and clients allowing someone the opportunity to develop and expand their skills.
- With the increasing uncertainty associated with cyber risks, catastrophe models are an integral part of cyber risk management. These roles evaluate exposure data and model catastrophe losses for client portfolios so that brokers can advise their clients on their insurance or reinsurance needs.
- We are looking for candidates with comparable experience, using CyberCube, Moody’s, Guidewire Cyence or other cyber catastrophe models and sufficient knowledge of major modelled perils for cyber.
- You will also need to be comfortable in querying into model backend tables through SQL or Alteryx. Ability to use PowerBI or other programming tools will be a bonus.
- Ability to manage the end-to-end catastrophe modelling process with minimal supervision, ensuring alignment with team best practices.
- Experience in model conversion, depending on your background.
- Skills in project tracking and compliance requirements.
- Support for the pre and post-event exposure and loss modelling process.
- Drive process efficiencies by embedding technology, particularly Alteryx, within cyber product lines.
- A degree in a quantitative field or relevant work experience.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
- Previous experience in reinsurance and/or insurance with an understanding of risk modelling.
- A mature, self-driven, and curious learner who will thrive in this team.
- Experience with cyber catastrophe models.
- Programming experience is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
