Join Popeyes as a Management Accountant and play a crucial role in our UK expansion, partnering with construction, acquisition, and leadership teams to manage property spend, capital investments, and ensure robust financial reporting across our growing estate.

What you’ll be doing as a Property Management Accountant?

Management Reporting

• Overall accountability for Property related expenditure
• Leading the preparation of monthly occupancy costs in the management Accounts, working with our junior management accountant
• Work with the our construction team to ensure correct recording of capital expenditure and help control spend vs Board approvals for each new location
• Performing regular performance reviews vs appraisal sign offs; commercially appraising sites gone live (including partnering with the Chief Development Officer)
• Support acquisition team with evaluating new site proposals
• Provide input into month end activities with key commentary on movements and deep diving into problem areas.
• Preparing periodic Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and following up actions with key stakeholders
• Working closely with AP to ensure all costs appropriately accounted for and construction teams’ expenditure is correctly managed.
• Owning Fixed Asset Register and depreciation policy; ensuring assets are recorded and depreciated correctly.
  
  

Financial Reporting

• Assisting with year end audit and answering audit queries, preparing key audit files
• Assisting with implementation of strong control and process environment within the business Reporting & Analysis
• Assisting with CAPEX budgeting & forecasting
• Ownership of CAPEX cash forecasting; updated bi-weekly to capture accurate view of CAPEX outflows
• Assisting with ad hoc analysis and projects

Technical Requirements We’re Looking For

• Qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivots, lookups, sumifs)
• Fully literate with Microsoft Office 365
• Multisite experience within hospitality or retail (desirable)
