We're looking for a talented individual to join our Centre Management Team as the Facilities Manager. This is your chance to take on a pivotal role in a vibrant and fast-paced environment and be part of an innovative team.
Key objectives
To deliver an asset strategy that safeguards and maintains the Centre's building fabric, systems, plant, and equipment while fostering innovation to enhance asset performance and uphold its premium status. Additionally, the development and implementation of a contract procurement and management plan are crucial to consistently maintaining high standards at the Centre, in line with good estate management practices.

Key objectives

What You Will Be Doing…
- Centre Operations: Manage hard services contractors, conduct daily inspections, and ensure routine maintenance and contract works are completed. Communicate findings to the Senior Facilities Manager and deputise as needed.
- Contracts: Develop and manage contract scopes and specifications, monitor contractor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Budgeting & Financial Management: Oversee the annual budget, implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensure best value for money.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental policies. Maintain documentation and manage projects in line with CDM regulations. ISO45001 and ISO14001
- Sustainability: Develop and implement sustainability programmes to reduce the centre's carbon footprint and enhance environmental practices.
- Team Performance: Provide leadership and support to the facilities team and collaborate with various departments.
- Proven experience in the Facilities Management and Building Services sectors.
- Extensive experience in the scoping, tendering, negotiation, mobilisation, and management of contracts
- Working knowledge of Consumer law, Trading Standards, and related legislation
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
- Relevant safety training and a working knowledge of health and safety legislation with practical experience in the implementation of procedures
- Proven negotiating and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of building principles and mechanical systems
- Demonstrated experience in creating and monitoring budgets.
- Relevant qualifications and accreditations
- Experience in project planning and management would be advantageous.
- NEBOSH, or at least IOSH
- M&E experience desired not essential.
