We are now expanding our leadership team to include a General Manager, Geopolitical Risk — a newly created role designed to drive strategic growth and innovation across our geopolitical risk intelligence business.
About The Team
Our Risk & Research division brings together the strength of Dow Jones Risk & Compliance , Factiva , and our latest acquisitions — Oxford Analytica and Dragonfly . We help global enterprises identify, assess, and act on risks across AML, anti-corruption, sanctions, and now, geopolitical landscapes.
This role is a unique opportunity to unify and grow a critical capability in the global risk ecosystem.
The Opportunity
As General Manager, Geopolitical Risk , you will lead the strategy, operations, and growth of Dow Jones’ geopolitical risk content and advisory business. You will shape our enterprise content vision, drive innovation, and deliver insights that help clients navigate complex geopolitical environments.
You'll work cross-functionally with product, sales, marketing, and operations to scale solutions that empower decision-makers worldwide.

What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the geopolitical risk strategy aligned with business goals
- Provide strategic counsel to C-level leaders on global developments and potential risks
- Serve as a public thought leader and internal driver of global risk intelligence
- Lead the vision for enterprise risk content and advisory services
- Own P&L responsibility and drive commercial performance
- Identify market opportunities and forge strategic partnerships
- Build, scale, and lead cross-functional teams across product, marketing, sales, and operations
- Foster a high-performance, innovation-driven culture
- Establish and track KPIs to measure success and impact
- Engage with government agencies, regulators, think tanks, and industry groups
- Represent Dow Jones at global forums and industry events
- Ensure alignment with legal, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Essential Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in geopolitical risk, international security, or enterprise risk management
- Track record of scaling B2B businesses and delivering on growth targets
- Deep understanding of international affairs, regulatory frameworks, and strategic risk forecasting
- Proven success in P&L ownership, digital product innovation, and enterprise software or content solutions
- Exceptional communication skills, including advising boards and executive leadership
- Experience managing matrixed teams and driving business transformation
- Background in government, intelligence, or multinational corporate strategy
- Familiarity with geopolitical risk methodologies and technology platforms
- Established industry network and influence in the risk, compliance, or advisory sectors
