Full-Time, Long-Term Experienced - Learning Support Assistant
Location: Croydon, Greater London Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Salary: £90-£100 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate
About Us: We are a supportive and inclusive school in Croydon, dedicated to providing high-quality education to all students. Our team is seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join us in delivering exceptional learning support across the school.
Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students with various learning needs, both individually and in small groups. Your role will be pivotal in creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the delivery of differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Support students in developing their social and emotional skills.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (minimum of 2 years preferred).
A good understanding of the National Curriculum and SEN requirements.
Experience supporting students with a range of additional needs (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable:
Experience supporting children with specific learning difficulties or disabilities.
First Aid qualification is an advantage.
