A knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent school in Enfield for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with a fascination for the past and develop their critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating History Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE History examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of historical concepts and interpretations.
  • Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages historical inquiry, debate, and the analysis of sources.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in History, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching History Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • A strong and comprehensive knowledge of British and world history.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of bringing historical events to life for students.
