Our progressive humanities school in Hillingdon is seeking an Enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join our innovative and dynamic Humanities department. Location: Hillingdon Role: Sociology Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons at Key Stage 4 (and potentially KS5).

· Inspire students to develop a critical understanding of sociological concepts and theories.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department to share best practice and enhance the Sociology curriculum.

· Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Sociology.

· Foster a classroom environment that encourages discussion and analysis of social issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

· Degree in Sociology or a related social science field.

· Proven experience teaching Sociology at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).

· Strong subject knowledge of sociological theories, research methods, and contemporary social issues.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate engaging discussions.

· A commitment to fostering critical thinking and social awareness in students.
