Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Learning & Development (L&D) to lead our global L&D initiatives within the dynamic video games industry. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing innovative learning strategies that enhance leadership capabilities and support the continuous growth of our diverse teams worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive global L&D strategy aligned with our organizational goals and the evolving needs of the video games industry.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a global L&D team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Program Development: Design and deliver impactful management and leadership training programs, utilizing modern learning methodologies and technologies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders and department heads to identify learning needs and tailor programs that drive performance and engagement.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee the selection and management of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms to ensure effective content delivery and tracking.
  • Budget Management: Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and demonstrating return on investment (ROI) through measurable outcomes.
  • Vendor Relations: Collaborate with external training providers and consultants to supplement internal programs and bring in specialized expertise.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all learning initiatives, promoting an inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior L&D role within the video games or related creative industries, with a track record of leading global teams and delivering management training programs.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern L&D technologies, including LMS platforms, e-learning tools, and virtual training solutions. Knowledge of KnowBe4 is advantageous.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical Abilities: Capability to assess program effectiveness through data analysis and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Cultural Competence: Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments and tailoring learning programs to varied audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in L&D or related areas (e.g., CIPD, ATD).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and adapting learning strategies in fast-paced, innovative settings.
  • Knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities within the video games industry.
