We are hiring a Content Acquisition Manager for the Prime Video ‘Rent or Buy’ Store, based in our office in London or Munich.

As a Content Acquisition Manager you will initiate and drive the relationships with studios, negotiate transactional video on-demand (TVOD) license agreements with content owners, and drive content selection growth on the platform. You will also manage operational programs to continuously improve content selection, customer experience and overall profitability for Prime Video TVOD across Europe. You will have the opportunity to own key licensing negotiations, and develop strategic opportunities and operational programs to grow the business both in existing and in new territories.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify new content opportunities and partnerships
  • Develop and document acquisition plans, financial metrics and goals for internal management
  • Negotiate license agreements with large and small content providers to secure content for the service and to improve overall business terms
  • Analyze results to drive improvements in acquisitions strategy
  • Develop continuous improvement and operational programs to increase content selection, and improve customer and partner experience
  • Work programmatically: creating structure and milestones to drive complex initiatives.
  • Clear communication: ability to summarise key points across complex initiatives to multiple stakeholder groups and levels of seniority.

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google docs and sheets
  • Experience in account management, business development, content licensing, or finance
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in content acquisition or sync licensing
