About the Role:
We are looking for a commercially HR Business Partner to provide a People service which is aligned to business requirements and fully supports the iQ values. The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing expert generalist advice and guidance in the areas of employment relations, engagement, recruitment, selection, performance management, reward and policy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build excellent working relationships at all levels within the organisation, building the credibility of the People team as a source of expertise.
- Provide end to end support, advice & guidance for predominantly site teams and managers in relation to employee relations cases; adopting pragmatic and culturally appropriate approaches/solutions aligned to iQ values and employment law.
- Collaborate with Site leadership & Management teams to identify and develop talent within their teams, facilitating development opportunities whilst encouraging people to take ownership of their careers
- Promote employee satisfaction by responding to team member questions, concerns and issues, researching and resolving problems
- Work with people managers to attract and develop team members who live and exhibit our iQ values
- Provide People advice supported by the subject matter experts across the full range of people management topics employee relations, recruitment, retention, performance management, development, and engagement.
- Responsible for ensuring people policies and practices are aligned to iQ values, compliant with employment law, including the training and briefing of team members and managers.
- Supports the iQ annual performance management process in relation to roll out, communications, guidance to managers to achieve a positive employee experience aligned to iQ values
- Reporting on, and analysing people metrics, using those metrics to identify trends, risks, recommend and advise the business on appropriate actions / resolutions
- Responsible for ensuring team changes, are executed in line with iQ values, creating a positive employee experience, compliant with employment law and best practice
- Supports the business with all aspects of TUPE transfers to ensure effective cultural integration of new team members.
- Prepares documents, letters and other communications in a timely manner as required related to the People policies, procedures and processes.
- Work in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure recruitment activity is attracting the right level of candidates and recruitment decisions and selection processes are aligned to staffing budgets
Who we are looking for:
- Wide experience in a HR / People generalist role covering all aspects of people management.
- Experience of managing complex employee relations cases with the ability to identify solutions that are aligned to business and employee needs, mitigate (manage) risk and are compliant with employment law and iQ values
- CIPD would be desirable
- Excellent organisational skills and self motivated to manage small scale People projects
- Excellent knowledge and practical skills in applying UK employment law principles.
- Excellent relationship building and communication, with the ability to work with impact and influence, move between listening to, guiding and coaching others at all levels
- The ability to make quick, sound decisions based on knowledge, judgment and commerciality.
- Always spots opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better result
- Goal orientated - Ability to prioritise and organise workload and show good judgement under pressure
- Used iTrent HRIS previously would be advantageous
but any HRIS knowledge will be required
