Job Summary
As an Account Executive, you would have the responsibility to support a sustainable and profitable growth of IFF sales/share in the Fabric & Home Care categories by supporting key customer projects & initiatives, and leading smaller projects & clearances. Additional responsibility is to manage the fragrance portfolio and related initiatives globally. A key part of this role is to support the internal category team as well as the wider Global account team.
Excellent interpersonal skills will be valuable when interacting with Global team members, internal stakeholders and customer, while centering activities on customer focus, meeting deadlines and efficiency in day-to-day tasks. This position is a challenging role requiring a hands-on, independent self-starter who is experienced, has a strong drive for results, excellent organizational skills, strict adherence to deadlines as well as the ability to work in a high paced environment. These attributes will assist you in becoming a successful member of the diverse and dynamic team.
The account executive will work under direct supervision of a Global Category account manager / director

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.

- Support in building knowledge of specific market, customer environment and specific customer activities, strategies, brands, markets, consumers via all available sources
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business and growth objectives
- Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders across functions and geographies to achieve a common goal
- Build meaningful relationships and networks across the organization
- Drive personal development to gain the experience and competence required to independently manage accounts
- Proactively solicit feedback to drive continuous development and personal growth
- Understand the assigned sales and profit margin targets
- Prepare and coordinate presentation materials with support of line management and/or marketing
- Actively contributes to winning projects
Experience:

- Experience in the Fragrance Industry (preferably in Sales or Marketing)
- Sales or Marketing experience in other industries (preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemical/Ingredients).
- Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel/database management & PowerPoint design
- Fluent in Business English, written and verbal
- Excellent Project management skills, plan & set priorities effectively, take initiative & deal well with ambiguity
- Familiar with marketing principles and (e-) tools
- Good Presentation skills
- Ability to deal with basic financial concepts/processes (Pricing/Margin/Forecasting) and work with IT systems
- Affinity with fragrances with strong interests in product development, consumers and market understanding (Marketing/R&D/CI)
- Basic fragrance knowledge and olfactive skills
