Senior Credit Risk Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst in our Portfolio Management team.

Funding Circle’s Portfolio Management team plays an essential role in the business. They monitor risk performance across all of our products, forecast the performance and returns of our portfolios, and are key to supporting other areas in the business. To do this, they work with a number of teams, including Credit Strategy, Finance, Capital Markets, Collections, Recoveries, and Data, to truly understand our objectives and shape analytical solutions.

The role

  • Deliver value for Funding Circle through analysis and reporting, working closely with Capital Markets to help maintain a good relationship with our investors
  • Generate cash flow forecasts across various products and portfolios, working closely with Finance on Fair Value and IFRS 9 modelling
  • Deliver regular risk monitoring and provide analysis and insight across all of our products for relevant stakeholders and committees
  • Identify, develop and maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years’ experience working in credit risk analytics, ideally in a SME/Retail Lending context
  • Exceptional problem solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods
  • Be an excellent communicator and presenter. Turn complex analysis into simply articulated visions/insights
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • One programming language (R, SAS, Python)
  • Experience with IFRS 9/ECL modelling
