Data Analyst (Junior) - #1696595
Oddbox
Date: 4 hours ago
City: London
Contract type: Full time
Work schedule: Full day

Location: Hybrid, minimum two days per week in our office in Vauxhall, London.
Working Pattern: Full-time
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Role term: Permanent
About Oddbox
Oddbox is on a mission to tackle food waste, transforming delicious, fresh produce that might otherwise go to waste into subscription delights for our community. We’re driven by data, passionate about sustainability and excited to grow our impact further. If you’re curious, proactive and ready to start your data career for good, join us as our new Junior Data Analyst!
Key Responsibilities
As our data analyst, you will empower data-driven action by delivering clear, accurate insights that help Oddbox make smarter choices and fight food waste.
Ensure high data accuracy and integrity by investigating anomalies, validating sources and flagging issues/improvements to the analytics engineer
Contribution to building a strong, data-informed culture by promoting best practices in data use, storytelling and knowledge sharing
Empower internal teams by providing training & support on data and self-serve analytics tooling.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their challenges and provide data-driven recommendations.
Identity trends and opportunities within the data, sharing insights across the business that can lead to improvements on performance, customer experience or sustainability impact.
What We’re Looking For
You have strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and a love of analysing data
You are Familiar with SQL. Additional knowledge of Python or another data analysis programming language is welcome but not required
You are curious and have the desire to learn in a fast-moving, purpose-led environment
You have good communication skills – able to explain complex data or analysis clearly to different audiences
You have experience of creating dashboards and other data visualisation tools
This role may not be right for you if:
You prefer to work in isolation
You think of data as just numbers, rather than a story that empowers decisions
You always wait to be told what is needed, rather than looking for opportunities that data can solve.
You're not excited by becoming an expert in new or unfamiliar tooling and dashboards
Application Process
We like to keep things simple and transparent:
Quick intro call with our People Team (about 15 minutes)
Technical/data task and interview with our data team
Panel session with stakeholders from across the business
Meet some Oddboxers (and maybe share a snack!)
Looking after you: We won't waste your time telling you annual leave is a benefit—it's your right. But we'll give you five extra days of annual leave (33 days including bank holidays), four "not-sick" days, and two volunteering days each year. We provide a £300 self-service L&D budget, alongside generous peer-to-peer learning opportunities. You'll have access to well-being support through YuLife and receive discounts on Oddbox products.
You’ll join us at least two days a week in our London Vauxhall office. Occasionally, you may visit our Croydon distribution centre and Birmingham facility.
Are you ready to launch your data career with purpose? Apply now and help Oddbox make every box count!
