This rollout has helped harmonise the booking and expense claims processes within the Finance organisation, optimise processes, and help us shape our future Travel & Expense requirements.
About The Role
Chanel is looking for a Business Process Lead for Global Travel & Expense (T&E). This role is critical to driving process improvement initiatives and activities related to global T&E processes and strategy. Channelling your project management, process optimization and automation skills, you will play a pivotal role in redefining and enhancing our T&E user experience that impacts thousands of our employees every day. Working with teams across CHANEL you'll have the opportunity to design and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure a seamless experience for all stakeholders involved in end-to-end travel and expense operations. As part of the RUN team, who oversees maintaince, continuously improving, and supporting all processes related to Source to Pay & T&E (team of 10 people) you are there to ensure CHANEL reaches our S2P objectives, including the digitalisation of T&E experience.
This role is based in London, with travel to markets where required. The responsibilities will include:

Planning, governance, and stakeholder management
- Ensure the completeness and validity of the global core model for T&E and assist markets with governance requirements.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile), to support rollout of new processes or technologies related to T&E
- Strive to exceed expectations and actively seek feedback, in a proactive manner
- Delivery of timely and accurate information to all stakeholders.
- Consistently demonstrates integrity, credibility, respectful and trustworthy.
- Meet commitments to senior stakeholders with dependability.
- Ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of expense ledger entries and all processes owned.
- Technical accounting competencies, e.g. ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified.
- Deep functional knowledge on Concur Expense and Travel.
- Understanding of business travel and the travel industry.
- Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Ability to look ahead to anticipate how stakeholder requirements will evolve in expense processes.
- Responsible for the global expense control, function, reporting and analytics.
- Ensure appropriate control framework is in place for all markets.
- Ability to help review existing T&E processes, procedures and implement improvement to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the teams.
- Identifies all key drivers (system and process) of each expense request/requirement from markets and the ability to provide resolution in a timely manner.
- Requirement collection from end-user on Concur Travel Module new features, and Travel Policy changes.
- Reporting on Travel Management practices (compliance) and spend to identify change opportunities.
- Experience working in a complex, matrix organisation with a global scope.
- Strong knowledge on Corporate Travel industry (online booking, Travel agencies)
- Concur certification is an advantage.
- Customer service oriented and excellent communication skills to be able to engage with various stakeholders, at all levels (internally and externally) in a professional and collaborative way.
- Strong written and verbal skills for clear, impactful communication.
- Proficiency in presenting data insights to support decision-making.
- Excellent organisational and technical skills on MS Office suite
- Awareness of and curiosity in current affairs which could impact the travel industry and the ability to think fast and respond to the business with action for this.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Target oriented and action driven.
- Fluency in English language. Knowledge of other languages very welcome.
- Working in global organisations with a high degree of complexity.
- Working in and with a flexible, highly professional open-minded and multicultural team.
- Successfully prioritising and efficiently managing multiple assignments.
- Building meaningful relationships with your stakeholders and pre-empting their needs.
