OpenRoom has been established for over 20 years and has recently sold a majority shareholding to CloserStill Media, an international exhibitions company. Our offices are in West London and the roles are office based with international travel.

In this role, you will help shape and elevate the visual identity of our event brands across a variety of print and digital platforms. We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Marketing Designer to join our team. In this role, you will help shape and elevate the visual identity of our event brands across a variety of print and digital platforms. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love turning marketing ideas into impactful visuals, this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark.
THE ROLE:
- Create compelling visual concepts for a wide range of marketing materials, including brochures, directories, banners, tent cards, signage, email campaigns, digital ads, and social media graphics.
- Execute design work using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, and DotDigital. Strong proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva Pro and Premiere Pro is essential.
- Develop visually impactful PowerPoint presentations for event conferences, ensuring all materials are brand-compliant and presentation-ready.
- Responsible for creating all digital artwork for events, including event introductions, promotional content, looping slides, and editing testimonial videos.
- Assist in updating social media platforms with on-brand visual assets. Stay informed about social media performance trends and propose creative improvements.
- Maintain and update the front end of the company website, uploading client logos, speaker profiles, and event information as needed.
- Support the Head of Marketing in managing print production for events, working with suppliers and adhering to production timelines.
- Confidently manage multiple digital artwork projects—often across several events at once—while remaining flexible and responsive to last-minute changes.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop promotional and advertising materials.
- Work with the operations team on the logistics of delivering print and digital artwork and identifying branding opportunities at events.
- Maintain consistency across all brand visuals, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and overall marketing strategy.
- Keep up to date with design and industry trends to ensure marketing visuals remain fresh, modern, and competitive.
- A degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva Pro.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
- Working knowledge of DotDigital and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- A solid understanding of design principles including branding, layout, colour theory, and typography.
- Excellent attention to detail, creative thinking, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
