Job Description

Your Team:

QA is an integral part of all scrum teams within software Delivery. QA Engineers are responsible for all aspects of software testing , support deployments and release management across software delivery. As an organization QA is an immensely valued function where the team collaborates with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive our Quality agenda.

Your Role

We are looking for a dynamic QA Engineer to be part of our Agile Release Trains supporting our Software Delivery needs. A keen eye for details and a relentless approach to ensure quality is the prime focus for this role.

What Will You Be Doing

  • To construct test scenarios based on the acceptance criteria defined to ensure adequate test coverage is achieved for the change under test.
  • Maintain and update UI automation regression packs to ensure coverage is up to date against new features and changes added to the product.
  • To deploy incremental change to a test environment and progress the package across the CD Pipeline through to Production.
  • To plan execution test cycles – creating test plans and traceability matrixs.
  • To execute system tests to meet acceptance criteria outlined.
  • To track and report on execution progress and test coverage met.
  • To support defect management by creating relevant dashboards and report on key metrics.
  • Co-ordinate and support user acceptance testing performed by our clients.
  • Where appropriate to carryout performance and scale testing to ensure page load times continue to meet SLAs
  • Assistance with Project activities and liaison with other project teams to manage project inter-dependencies and milestones for testing common function
  • Quality Management – implements, measures and maintains quality processes and standards. Undertakes quality reviews of project and team deliverables and feedback continuous improvements to the existing process.

What Will You Bring

  • Methodical test execution
  • Knowledge of development of robust test scripts that have sufficient coverage to ensure quality deliverables are released.
  • Proven Documentation skills, attention to detail and an ability to communicate detailed technical issues to Development and to the internal business/ project team.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage time.
  • Agile and willing to learn new things and adapt to a changing technological landscape.
  • Conversant with Front End development ideally with React and Angular frameworks.
  • Experience of testing web-based systems, including the user interface/web screen, and XML interface specifications.
  • Proven experience with automated UI testing with frameworks using selenium.
  • Proven experience testing REST APIs
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipeline with multiple daily deployments to production
  • Experience in Financial Services is a bonus, understanding of investment and pensions products.
  • ISEB Testing qualifications [Foundation] or equivalent (Desirable)
