Job Title: Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Challenging BehaviourLocation: Clapham, LondonSalary: Competitive, based on experienceStart Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Clapham that supports students with challenging behaviour. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in young people's lives.

The Role:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).

  • Assist in classroom management, ensuring a positive and structured learning environment.

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams to implement behavioural strategies.

  • Help students engage with learning and develop social and emotional skills.

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or SEN (desirable but not essential).

  • Strong behaviour management skills and resilience in high-pressure situations.

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

  • Team Teach training (advantageous but not essential – training can be provided).

  • Enhanced DBS.
