Mechanical Supervisor - Charing Cross - £58,000 + Training & Overtime
Introduction:
An established building services provider is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join a high-profile commercial site in Charing Cross. This role offers strong development potential, excellent client exposure, and the opportunity to step into a managerial capacity within a leading FM environment.
Role Overview:
This position functions similarly to an M&E Manager role, requiring excellent administrative and client-facing skills. The successful candidate will be predominantly desk-based (around 75%) and oversee daily operations, compliance, and staff performance on a busy commercial site.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily mechanical and electrical operations across the site (static contract).
Manage and support on-site engineers and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and company policies.
Regularly liaise with the client, handling queries, updates, and reports.
Coordinate PPM and reactive works via CAFM system.
Maintain detailed records, RAMS, permits to work, and site logbooks.
Support with audits, site inspections, and improvement plans.
Participate in client meetings and drive continuous service improvements.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
Experience in managing engineering teams in a commercial building environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong administrative and IT skills (CAFMs, reports, compliance logs).
AP (Authorised Person) tickets are highly desirable.
On Offer:
£58,000 base salary
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
