Location: West Drayton Job Type: Full-time | Term-Time Only Start Date: ASAP!We are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEN school for children aged 5–11 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs.As an HLTA, you will support teachers with planning and delivering lessons, lead small group interventions, and provide consistent, structured support to pupils with autism. You will play a key role in promoting independence, emotional regulation, and meaningful learning in a calm, therapeutic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support learning activities across the schoolDeliver planned interventions and support pupils 1:1 or in small groupsAssist in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needsPromote a positive and structured learning environmentWork closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapistsRequirementsHLTA qualification or significant TA experience with a leadership element* Classroom managementExperience supporting children with autism and/or SENCalm, caring, and confident approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsKnowledge of PECS, Makaton, or sensory approaches is a bonusWhy Join This School?A specialist setting for children aged 5–11 with autism and/or severe learning difficulties (SLD), committed to creating a safe, happy, and empowering environment for every learner.
