Business Development Manager
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with deep knowledge of the façade sector and a proven ability to influence specification decisions? This is an opportunity to join a leading façade contractor delivering complex, design-led cladding packages across major UK construction projects.
The Company:
Our client is a highly respected façade specialist, known for delivering bespoke cladding systems on some of the UK’s most iconic buildings. Combining in-house design, engineering, and project delivery, they work directly with architects, developers, and main contractors to provide high-performance, aesthetically striking building envelopes. As they continue to grow their presence across the UK, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the early-stage sales and project acquisition process.
Responsibilities:
- As a Business Development Manager, you will identify and develop new project opportunities within the UK façade and cladding market.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with architects, façade consultants, developers, and Tier 1 contractors.
- Influence specifications through a consultative, design-led approach.
- Promote the company’s technical capabilities and end-to-end project delivery expertise.
- Support the bid process by feeding project intelligence to internal pre-construction teams.
- Attend meetings, deliver CPDs, and present to decision-makers at all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and report on key project activity using CRM systems.
- Stay informed of market activity, design trends, and competitor movements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Business Development Manager role dealing in the façade or advanced cladding systems market.
- Strong track record in developing relationships and influencing specification decisions.
- Experience working with architects, consultants, and main contractors on large-scale projects.
- Technically confident and commercially astute.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, structured, and results-oriented.
- Full UK driving licence.
