Our Business and Transformation Change business continues to grow and we are now looking for a junior project manager to join one of our vibrant offices not limited to London with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a similar junior project manager role where they have managed small to medium sized projects from initial concept to delivery with the support of a Senior Project Manager.

The Team

This role is based within the Business Transformation & Change team, comprised of specialists that support the XPS business in Project Management and Project Support. The team is located across the XPS Group national offices.

We’re seeking to resource a Junior Project Manager role in the Business Transformation & Change team to support business growth and an on-going demand for project management.

The Role

As a Junior Project Manager With XPS You Will

  • Delivery of the agreed project scope.
  • Setup and maintenance of all project documents (PID, Plan, RAID Log, etc).
  • Setup, attendance and leading of required internal and external calls.
  • Communication (written and verbal) to internal stakeholders, clients and other 3 rd
  • Successful completion of the project to the agreed milestones and live dates.
  • Assist with tracking and charging of any fees associated with the project delivery
  • Managing projects within new business activity.
  • Provide project management for ad-hoc client projects across the XPS Group. Examples of such projects are GMP projects, Buy-in/Buy outs, Investment Changes, Calculation basis changes, Digital or Communications projects.
  • Project managers are involved in managing business change projects and the development of new systems/enhancement of existing systems. Business change projects can include the acquisition and integration of new business units. System projects will involve liaising directly with XPS IT or third-party system developers to ensure the project remains on track.

Your profile

Essential Criteria

  • Project Management experience from concept to implementation, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Experience of technical and business change deliveries is desirable.
  • A good understanding of project management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of having worked in pensions industry a distinct advantage.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a distinct advantage.
  • Positive and Proactive approach.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Good Stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills to all levels.
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility for own work with minimal supervision.
  • IT proficient in MS Office, with MS Project desirable.
  • Ability to manage project documentation with good levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Strong belief in adhering to deadlines and quality service.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and build effective working relationships, both internal and external of the organisation.
