The role
As a Financial Accountant, you will perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, VAT reporting, financial due diligence assessments and other financial compliance activity. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.

The role
As a Financial Accountant, you will perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, VAT reporting, financial due diligence assessments and other financial compliance activity. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out monthly and ad hoc reconciliations for bank and key balance sheet accounts.
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns for submission to HMRC.
- Preparing other compliance returns including to the ONS and HMRC.
- Performing due diligence assessments on key customers and suppliers.
- Monitoring cash balances and carrying out banking and investment portfolio accounting and administration.
- Assisting in the coordination of the external audit and production of the annual statutory accounts.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT)
- Experience of performing reconciliations
- Knowledge of financial statements
- Good communications skills
- A solutions-focused mentality
