Job Title: Director of Product

Reports to: Group Chief Product and Engineering Strategy

Location: Ireland / UK / Remote

Role Purpose

The Director of Product plays a critical role in shaping Boylesports product strategy, ensuring customer satisfaction, driving revenue growth, and leading a team towards successful product development and delivery. Boylesports has developed its in-house product capability consistently over many years to become highly innovative and competitive operator in delivering customer value and entertainment solutions. BoyleSports competes well and leads product development in core verticals in the local markets with international ambitions now in full flight and with ambitions to become known as a customer favourite and innovator in all product and technology touch points.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute the product strategy in alignment with business goals and market trends across all product verticals including Online Sportsbook and Gaming alongside the Retail and Omnichannel product portfolio
  • Product Roadmap: Create and manage a clear actionable product roadmap that outlines the features, enhancements, and updates to be delivered.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and ensure their success in delivering high quality products
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive analysis to inform product decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, design marketing, and sales, to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Product Development: Drive the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and conceptualization to launch and post-launch monitoring.
  • User Experience: Champion a user centric approach to product development, ensuring products are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet customer expectations.
  • Product Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, including user engagement, revenue, and customer satisfaction, to identify areas of improvement and drive continuous improvement growth as well as understanding the competitive land scape
  • Budget and resource Allocation: Manage the product management budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and results.
  • Industry Leadership: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management and proactively share knowledge and insights with the team.

Desired Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in data analytics and tracking tools to understand customer behaviour and product performance
  • Experience working within the betting industry, with both Sportsbook and gaming knowledge.
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle. As well as experience with Agile software methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be solution driven, innovative and able to solve problems
  • Have a proven ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and documenting progress towards those deadlines
