About The Role
inriver is expanding its channel account management team to support our continued growth. As a Channel Account Manager, you are responsible for ensuring our customers have the best possible syndication experience to their engagement points. This position will prioritize, build and maintain relationships with key retailer, marketplace, and social commerce partners to ensure a mutually beneficial exchange of value.

About The Role
inriver is expanding its channel account management team to support our continued growth. As a Channel Account Manager, you are responsible for ensuring our customers have the best possible syndication experience to their engagement points. This position will prioritize, build and maintain relationships with key retailer, marketplace, and social commerce partners to ensure a mutually beneficial exchange of value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage an account strategy to break into and maintain key relationships with the retailers and marketplaces that matter most to our customers including Amazon, Walmart, Bol.com and OTTO.
- By demonstrating curiosity, you will become a subject matter expert on the eCommerce ecosystem and the role that we play within it.
- Enable our go to market teams and integration partners to ensure they are able to leverage the value of the established relationships.
- Work directly with our customers to ensure they are able to maximize their effectiveness on each of the different marketplaces and retailers they are engaged with and leverage our customer’s presence on those sites to push for tighter integrations and brand programs.
- Prioritize and coordinate our participation in the content service provider programs offered by many of the retailers and be creative in how we can offer and receive value when there is no formal program.
- Facilitate actionable feedback to our product organization so we can be the best partner to both our customers and retailer and marketplace partners alike.
- 5-7 years’ experience working with retailers/marketplaces
- Excellent understanding of the eCommerce eco-system. PIM experience is a plus
- Client facing experience, gained from enterprise sales, customer success, account management, or business development.
- Ability to translate technology into customer value
- Ability to work with customers and partners as well as with technical stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with the creativity to break into large, complex Fortune 1000 companies
- Willingness to travel onsite to retail/marketplace partners as well as events around Europe
- Understanding of integration landscape, API/SFTP/Flat File Delivery
- Excellent communication skills – Ability to create an effective value proposition, active listening, and storytelling
- Excellent Presentation Skills – The ability to present dynamically through story telling
- Ability to drive and increase knowledge sharing and collaborative behaviors
- Experienced in writing, executing, and reporting on business plans
- Be goal driven for growing accounts, establishing strong client relationships, and driving client activities
