About the Role
We are looking for a talented and hands-on Lighting Technician to join the dynamic London studio. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for lighting, a creative mindset, and practical technical skills.
You’ll work closely with the design and production teams to bring bespoke lighting concepts to life—from prototyping and assembly to on-site installation across international projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble custom lighting fixtures in collaboration with the product design and production teams
- Support the lighting controls team by wiring and building control panels
- Focus and aim light fittings on site, installing accessories such as louvers, lenses, filters, and gels under the direction of lighting designers
- Travel globally to install bespoke, one-off pieces at a variety of project locations
- Problem-solve technical challenges involving drivers, lamps, dimming protocols (DALI, DMX), and low-voltage circuits
- Assist designers in building mock-ups using in-house workshop and testing facilities
- Use tools to modify fixtures and customize lighting accessories
- Plan on-site work, ensuring accurate, detail-focused installation and excellence on every project
Requirements
Must Have:
- DALI Certification
- Experience with DMX lighting controls
- Background in architectural and decorative lighting design
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
- Strong practical and hands-on skills in an electrical or technical capacity
Nice to Have:
- Electrical qualifications or certification (not essential, but a bonus)
- Workshop or fabrication experience with a range of materials
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
