Role overview:

We are looking for a suitable candidate for the role of Operations Specialist who will work within the UK Operations team of Rothschild & Co Wealth Management. The UK Operations team are responsible for client and regulatory reporting tasks. Client reporting responsibilities include the delivery of monthly and quarterly client statements, annual tax reports and costs and charges statements. Regulatory reporting requirements include MIFIR transaction reporting, EMIR reporting, CASS oversight and AML transaction monitoring.

The role is focused on some of the core tasks of the team; client reporting including client tax, AML transaction monitoring and CASS reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Review reports and data for accuracy and consistency, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and client expectations.
  • Client Communication: Collaborate with client teams to address client queries, provide explanations of report content and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to reporting processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Project Support: Assist in projects related to client reporting and conduct regression testing for system upgrades.
  • Transaction monitoring: Reviewing and analysing client transactions to identify and escalate potential suspicious activities.
  • Client money reconciliations: Overseeing the daily client money reconciliations to ensure compliance with CASS rules
  • CASS breaches: Conduct investigations into CASS breaches and issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • CASS audit support: Assist with annual external CASS audit and ensure all findings are addressed


Experience, Skills And Competencies Required

  • Proven experience working collaboratively within a team
  • Previous experience in a relevant Financial Services role desirable
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Good PC skills, particularly Outlook and MS Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Diligent and high level of attention to detail even when working under pressure
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to ensure internal and external Service Level Agreements are met
  • Team player
