Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial performance, supporting business growth, and providing valuable insights to optimize commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends and areas for improvement.

Commercial Strategy:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, providing recommendations for optimization.

Financial Modelling:

  • Build and maintain robust 3-statement financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential business outcomes.

Performance Metrics and KPIs:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for effective reporting to senior management.

Budget Management:

  • Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and accurate financial reporting.
  • Track budget variances and provide timely insights to relevant stakeholders.

Business Partnering:

  • Act as a key finance business partner to various departments, providing financial insights and support.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to assess the financial impact of commercial initiatives, including pricing strategy when applicable.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigating strategies to protect the financial health of the organisation.

About You:

  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the payments industry.
  • Strong financial modelling experience, including 3-statement model development.
  • Demonstrated experience using Datarails or similar financial planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with a track record of working across departments to drive financial strategy.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment.
  • Experience with pricing analysis or strategy is a strong plus.
