Area Sales Manager

£50,000 to £60,000 + Commission (OTE £80k +) + Vehicle

Neos Engineering are currently working with a well established organisation within the Heavy Plant industry who are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join the team.

The day to day role of the Area Sales Manager will be to grow existing accounts but increase the client base and outreach buy bringing in new business’. You will be liaising with Plant Hire, Construction companies, OEMs and Independent organisations within the South East so if you have relationships with these organisations it will be highly beneficial.

The candidate will be an experienced Area Sales Manager within the Plant Sector and have the ability to create relationships within this field. The company are a well known name within the industry with a high quality product, it’s competitive but the right candidate should be able to outsell the competition.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established organisation that a growing at a rapid rate, they are opening new depots to increase customer satisfaction and the ability to sell machines further afield.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within the designated region.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to maximize revenue.
  • Provide tailored quotations and negotiate terms to close sales.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Analyze the CRM system to track sales activities and uncover new opportunities.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven sales experience in Heavy Plant or a related sector (crushers, screeners, attachments)
  • Strong business development and account management skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to boardroom.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Commercial awareness and a solution-focused sales approach.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including territory planning and time management.
  • Proficiency in IT systems such as Microsoft Office, email, and CRM software.
