Location: South East London Greenwich, Lewisham & Southwark Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent Salary: £14 - £17 per hour (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP

A welcoming and well-managed school in South East London is seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled School Caretaker to join their site team. This is a key role in helping to maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

• Opening and closing the school premises daily

• Carrying out general repairs, maintenance, and basic DIY tasks

• Monitoring and maintaining heating, lighting, and alarm systems

• Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, tidy, and secure

• Overseeing site security, including key holding and emergency call-outs

• Managing deliveries and supporting with setup for school events

• Ensuring health & safety standards and procedures are followed

• Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities/maintenance role (school experience preferred)

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and general maintenance

• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Supportive leadership and site team
