EYFS / Reception Teacher | Thornton Heath, CR7 | £162-£252 per day, equivalent MPS/UPS | Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm | September start - interviews in May/June!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated EYFS / Reception Teacher in a highly-regarded 'Good' rated Infant School located in Thornton Heath, Croydon (CR7). This school serves a vibrant, diverse South London community and is known for its supportive leadership and focus on staff development.
The position, starting in September, is offered on a long-term basis with a view to becoming permanent, and could include middle management responsibilities for a suitably experienced candidate.
The school is easily accessible from areas including Croydon, Lambeth, Bromley, Sutton, and nearby boroughs.

Your responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver stimulating and effective EYFS learning experiences for Reception pupils.
- Diligently assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, tailoring teaching methods to individual needs (EAL, SEND).
- Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment through effective behaviour management.
- Build strong working relationships and communicate proactively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Potentially undertake middle leadership duties (dependent on experience and school need).
About you:
- You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Possess recent and successful teaching experience within the EYFS phase.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum and a commitment to play-based and child-led learning principles.
- Exhibit strong skills in classroom management and pupil behaviour.
- Dedicated to upholding safeguarding standards and promoting child welfare.
