The company prides itself on delivering technically complex projects to the highest standards, from design and tender through to commissioning and handover.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join the pre-construction team. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a wide range of electrical projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of electrical systems in building services and a commercial mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse tender documents and electrical drawings/specifications

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates using estimating software

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes

  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and internal teams

  • Collaborate with mechanical estimators to develop combined MEP packages

  • Participate in value engineering exercises and offer alternative technical solutions

  • Support the handover process to the operations team upon contract award

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical estimating within the building services sector

  • Sound knowledge of electrical installations across commercial, healthcare, residential, and/or education sectors

  • Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Ensign or equivalent)

  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines under pressure

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Building Services

  • Relevant trade background also considered with appropriate estimating experience
