SVP, Technology Regulatory Lead, Europe

SVP, Regional Technology Regulatory Lead, drives European in-region technology regulatory execution on behalf of TECH, working with key stakeholders across the business, to maintain and enforce adherence to all relevant regulations and standards. This team serves as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders across our markets. This role reports to Grace Hayes, EVP Technology Regulatory Execution and dotted lines into the European Regional President.

Overview

Serve as regional SME and lead on technology regulatory matters, collaborating closely with cross-functional leadership

Promote resilience and enhances operational efficiency and security in the region, through support of strategic Technology solutioning needs at a regional level

Monitor internal and external forces which can affect the way in which we do business and engage with Customers & Regulators on our TECH thought leadership and modernization strategy

Deepen relationships with regulators, explaining our tech standards and practices and illustrating our ability to be a trusted and reliable partner to regulators. Strengthen regulatory posture in designated markets

Ensure catalogue is updated in a timely manner adhering to regional regulatory requirements (ongoing maintenance), and enabling faster incident response

Ensure end-to-end regulatory technology traceability where required

Structure, socialize, and ensure compliance with regulatory tech frameworks, standards and practices among regional partners and stakeholders

Provide operations oversight on behalf of regulators, independent from Mastercard Operations; tie in risk and audit best practices

Lead ICT compliance and oversight, staying current on regulations and standards

Safeguard the regions by applying TECH due diligence on major changes impacting the regions (regulatory requirement) / Studio; support solutioning prioritization as needed. Strengthen regulatory technology controls in region.

Provide critical partnership and standardized reporting to Senior Leadership to provide transparency on ongoing regulatory matters and on regional TECH regulatory impacts

Serve as connective tissue between various regional BU teams and TECH as needed

All About You

Technology qualifications are essential

Experience in regulatory compliance and oversight

Experience working with European regulatory entities

French language fluency a plus
