Quantity Surveyor – Marylebone Office
Location:Marylebone, Central London (office-based role with some site visits)
Role:Quantity Surveyor within a growing commercial team, working across high-quality new build PBSA (student accommodation) and luxury hotel schemes
Salary:£60,000 – £90,000 depending on experience

- Discretionary multi-tier bonus up to 20%

Key Highlights of the Role:
Join a growing commercial team alongside a Commercial Manager and Assistant QS
Work across multiple new build PBSA and hotel projects at varying stages of the development cycle
Lead on front-end cost planning and feasibility assessments
Direct influence across all phases – from pre-acquisition through to project completion
Full exposure to development and construction processes in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Close collaboration with design, delivery and acquisition teams
Operate within a larger acquisition-led business that is scaling rapidly

Key Responsibilities:

Lead cost planning and pre-acquisition assessments

Prepare feasibility studies, benchmarking and early budgets

Produce and manage elemental cost plans (RIBA Stages 1–4)

Advise design team on cost implications and value engineering

Manage procurement strategy and tender processes

Evaluate and negotiate contractor and consultant packages

Use Bluebeam (or similar) for measurement and take-offs

Oversee live site delivery from a commercial perspective

Monitor budgets, process valuations, and manage variations

Maintain cost reports, forecast cashflows, and support funding drawdowns

Liaise across development, construction, and delivery functions
-
Support contract admin and final account processes

Engage in commercial decisions that impact the wider project lifecycle
