Science teacher required to cover a maternity leave starting in September, for one academic year at a Secondary School close to Enfield. The School Join a thriving Science department teaching a full timetable consisting of Combined Science in Key Stage 3 and specialising in Chemistry for GCSE and A Level classes. The school is high achieving and orderly, with pupils engaging fully in their learning and many continuing to achieve well at Sixth form level. The supportive staffing team are proud to work at the school and the SLT deeply consider workload to ensure staff can retain a work life balance. The role

• Teach Science to KS3
• Teach Chemistry to GCSE and A Level
• Deliver high quality lessons within an agreed scheme of work
• Full time, fixed term contract
• September start

The ideal applicant will

• Hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS desirable)
• Demonstrate experience in teaching Chemistry to KS5 with strong subject knowledge
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be strong in behaviour management, facilitating the best learning environments in the classroom
• Application from ECTs are welcome as the school has a strong induction program
