Job Title: Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to support a variety of residential construction projects. This is a dual-role position offering involvement across all stages of project delivery—from cost estimation to ongoing financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects ranging from £500k to £2.5M.

• Collaborate with project teams to gather required technical and logistical information.

• Prepare and submit tenders and proposals in a timely and efficient manner.

• Monitor budgets, maintain cost control, and oversee project financial performance.

• Conduct cost analyses, site surveys, and regular financial evaluations.

• Obtain and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

• Ensure all work aligns with current industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator and/or Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.

• Must have direct experience with residential renovation and extension projects.

• Proven experience using estimating software (e.g., Causeway, ConQuest, Buildertrend, or similar).

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

• Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and applicable regulations.

Additional Information:

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

• Work location: In-person
