Senior Construction Planner – High-End Residential

A highly respected principal contractor known for delivering some of the UK’s most prestigious residential and commercial projects is seeking a Senior Planner to join their growing team. With a heritage of excellence and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking for a site-based planner to take the lead on a landmark high-end residential scheme in St John’s Wood.

The Project

This role will be based on a newly secured, ultra-prime residential project comprising 12 luxury townhouses, with a construction programme of 90 weeks (circa 2 years). The scope covers full construction activities, not just fit-out, so prior experience in full build delivery is essential.

Responsibilities

As the on-site Senior Planner, you will:

• Take full ownership of planning and programming on site using ASTA Projects software.

• Report daily into the Project Manager and directly into the Head of Pre-Construction and Planning.

• Work collaboratively with an experienced site team, including the Project Manager, 3x Construction Managers and Package Managers.

• Produce, update and maintain project programmes, reporting on progress and managing key timelines.

• Contribute to project planning from early delivery through to handover, including sequencing and logistics.

• Attend site meetings and work with delivery teams to ensure the programme is reflective of site activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner on high-end residential or similar construction projects.

• Solid understanding of main contractor construction sequencing and delivery – ideally across both shell & core and fit-out.

• Strong working knowledge of ASTA Projects planning software.

• Excellent communication and reporting skills, and the ability to integrate into a fast-moving site team.

• A background of stability and longevity in previous roles is highly preferred.

• No formal qualifications required – experience and ability are key.
