Configuration Controller - #1730276

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Configuration Controller to join a technical team based in the Enfield area. The Configuration Controller will take ownership of the release and change control of technical data within the company’s ERP system, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy throughout all processes.

This hands-on Configuration Controller role requires a pragmatic and detail-focused individual with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily release and change control of engineering part structures, bills of materials, drawings, documents, and software within the ERP system

• Manage the end-to-end change and deviation request process, acting as the technical focal point for ERP-controlled data

• Develop, maintain, and improve configuration management processes and ERP system configuration

• Create and maintain ERP document data such as approval templates, document classes, and numbering

• Support configuration plans and bid submissions for new contract proposals and project lifecycle

• Attend software release, design review, and release meetings as required

• Maintain membership and documentation relating to certifications such as ISO and TUV SUD Marine Equipment Directive

• Play a key role in ERP system improvements, including testing and upgrades

Requirements:

• Experience in configuration management, ideally within large organisations handling MoD or defence contracts

• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably IFS Cloud Applications 11, SAP 4 HANA or similar

• Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills

• Excellent document creation and IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and auditor experience are advantageous

• Configuration Management qualification or equivalent knowledge
