Do you love inspiring young men to design, create, and innovate? We're seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join our well-regarded Independent boys' school in Haringey on a temporary, full-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills and creative thinking in our bright students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) in North London.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be planning and delivering engaging Design & Technology lessons, nurturing creativity and technical proficiency in areas like product design, engineering, and digital design.
  • It's about guiding students through the entire design process, from that initial spark of an idea to the final prototype, using a variety of materials and technologies.
  • You'll cultivate a safe and stimulating workshop environment where students feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and build valuable practical skills for the future.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology.
  • Some experience teaching engaging and effective D&T lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and, of course, health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong workshop management, are crucial.

Why join us?

  • We offer a competitive salary, dependent on our school's own generous pay scale, reflecting Inner London weighting.
  • You'll become part of a supportive and forward-thinking Technology department within an Independent boys' school that values innovation and the holistic development of its students.
  • You'll have access to well-equipped workshops and a range of resources to truly bring your lessons to life.
  • Be part of a school that fosters a strong sense of community and provides excellent opportunities for professional growth in North London.

About Our School:

Located within a thriving community in Haringey, our well-established Independent boys' school provides a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment for our students. With a long-standing tradition of academic achievement and a commitment to providing a truly well-rounded education, we pride ourselves on our inclusive atmosphere and dedicated staff.
