Quality Inspector - Housebuilding & Construction

We're working with a well-established, privately-owned house builder who's looking to expand their team with the addition of a Quality Inspector. This is an opportunity to join a company with a long-standing reputation for building high-quality homes, where attention to detail and a commitment to doing things the right way really matter.

As a Quality Inspector, your day-to-day will involve visiting live sites across the region to carry out inspections, assess workmanship, and support site teams in maintaining consistently high standards. You'll be working alongside various departments - including production, technical, and customer services - playing a key role in the delivery of homes that are not just compliant, but exceptional.

This is a hands-on role that suits someone who takes real pride in their work, understands what good looks like on site, and has a firm grasp of current building regulations and industry best practices. You'll also be responsible for the final sign-off of homes ready for customer handover, so a sharp eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilites:

  • Carrying out regular inspections across housing and residential projects to monitor quality and compliance.
  • Flagging any defects or concerns early and supporting the resolution process with the relevant teams.
  • Helping to benchmark internal quality standards and providing feedback to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Signing off homes, ensuring everything meets company expectations.
  • Recording your findings clearly and accurately, using a digital quality platform (Fieldview)

What we're looking for:

  • Solid knowledge of residential construction - ideally with experience in both housing and high-rise developments.
  • Familiarity with UK building regs, NHBC, LABC, and relevant technical guidance.
  • Someone who's detail-oriented, practical, and proactive in spotting and solving problems.
  • Confident using digital tools and inspection software.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
