As a standalone marketing leader, you'll define the strategy, own execution, and build the foundations for long-term brand and customer acquisition success. This person will be responsible for managing the budget to ensure alignment with business goals and follow the correct procurement processes for budget line items.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns. Whilst this role will be an individual contributor role to begin with, we aspire to grow the function in the future to align with activities and channels where we can drive most impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute data-driven campaigns to drive lead acquisition and pipeline growth, working with the Sales team to convert these to revenue, by aligning on GTM initiatives and enhancing marketings impact on revenue generation
  • Take ownership of and execute on Shieldpay’s marketing channels, campaigns, and performance data, utilising project tracking software (Monday.com) and a RACI method to keep key people informed – including any internal contributors required to input into marketing outputs.
  • Own and optimise paid and organic search strategies to ensure marketing-generated leads convert to revenue.
  • Devise and deliver a full content and thought leadership strategy (including PR and social media) that supports our business goals, profiles key leadership and ensures a strong brand narrative to position Shieldpay as a trusted payment platform. This involves securing and organising third-party content with relevant partners, copywriting promotional content about our product and any other initiatives, such as cultural or charity initiatives.
  • Implementation and management of HubSpot automation workflows to nurture leads and support sales enablement, by expanding marketing automation to improve customer journey through personalisation and engagement.
  • Oversee marketing analytics and reporting, ensuring attribution models and conversion tracking are accurate.
  • Optimise website conversion rates through landing pages, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
  • Champion RevOps principles by improving marketing-sales alignment, CRM hygiene and lead handoff processes, including any sales enablement content required to deliver on the agreed sales process
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing-led events, conferences, webinars, and roundtables to support brand visibility, lead generation, and customer engagement.
  • Own the brand voice and development of the Shieldpay Go-To-Market messaging, including persona mapping, messaging matrix and value proposition to increase our share of voice against key competition.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities and new digital marketing opportunities, identifying gaps in the marketing funnel to optimise on strategy.
  • Establish reporting dashboards to track key marketing metrics and pipeline contribution.
  • Own third-party agency relationships, including PR, design, SEO and paid media to ensure full strategic alignment of marketing activity and reporting – ensuring ROI is tracked and visible to leadership.
  • Build a sustainable, scalable demand generation engine that directly contributes to revenue growth and increases market awareness through strategic content and paid media.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Customer Operations, Product & Tech teams, External Agencies, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure high quality marketing communications and methods align with brand positioning, our product roadmap and revenue generation models.

What We're Looking For In You

  • Strategic and Analytical - You love measuring impact, optimising funnels, and turning data into action and you know how to tell a story with the data that  takes the rest of the business on the journey with you.
  • Revenue-Focused – You don’t just generate leads; you obsess over new business, deal progress, and closed revenue.
  • Execution-Driven – You thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment – passionate about making the business a success. You can own a marketing strategy and execute quickly and flawlessly, while keeping revenue enablement front of mind.

  • Tech-Savvy – You have HubSpot expertise and experience managing paid & organic search campaigns.
  • RevOps Mindset – You align marketing, product, operations and sales to ensure a seamless handoff and revenue accountability.
  • Problem Solver – You proactively identify issues and take ownership of data-driven decision marking to ensure marketing efforts align with revenue goals.
