Sports Coach (SEND) - Special Educational Needs

Are you a passionate and energetic Sports Coach with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the skills to inspire and engage students with diverse learning needs through physical education and sports?

My client is a vibrant and inclusive special needs school in London, dedicated to providing high-quality education and enrichment activities for students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning disabilities. We are looking for a dedicated Sports Coach to join our team and help our students develop confidence, coordination, and a love for physical activity.

The Role:

As a SEND Sports Coach, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive sports sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
  • Adapt activities to support children with different physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Use sports and movement to help develop students' motor skills, confidence, and teamwork.
  • Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists to provide a holistic learning experience.
  • Create a fun, supportive, and safe environment where all students can participate and succeed.
  • Support students in school events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience coaching or teaching sports to children with SEND (school, club, or community setting).
  • Knowledge of adaptive PE techniques and strategies for engaging SEND students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, patient, and motivational approach to coaching.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting students' well-being.
