a Bit About Flock
At Flock we do insurance very differently. We're nearing 1 billion connected, insured miles.
Meaning our real-time, data-driven approach enables us to price connected vehicle insurance and assess risk better than ever before, giving fleet owners the insights they need to improve safety. We don’t just pay claims; we help our customers prevent them. We now insure hundreds of fleets in the UK, including the likes of JLR and Amazon, as well as fleets that work for DPD, Uber and Bolt.
We've now raised over £50M and our goal is to become the leading insurance company for connected and autonomous vehicles, and we're building a world-class team to help us get there.
THE ROLE
Join Flock as a Full Stack Engineer within our Safety Team, where you'll play a pivotal role in building the next generation of our telemetry and safety data platform.
WHAT WE THINK IS MOST EXCITING ABOUT THE ROLE:
Impactful Front-End Work in a Data-Rich Environment
You'll lead the development of powerful, user-friendly features in our customer Portal using React. As we unlock new levels of insight through a brand-new telemetry ingestion pipeline, your work will directly shape how millions of GPS datapoints are surfaced, visualized, and interacted with by our customers.
Work at the Intersection of Data and UX
Partner closely with data engineers, backend developers, and product managers to transform complex datasets into intuitive and performant interfaces. You'll be a key bridge between raw telemetry data and the customer-facing safety insights we provide.
Modern AWS-Driven Stack
Leverage AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge to build scalable, event-driven systems. While this is a full-stack role, you'll have ample opportunity to expand and apply your AWS knowledge in a production environment.
Ownership and Autonomy
You'll own the delivery of features from ideation to deployment. Your work will have a direct and visible impact on how our customers manage fleet safety and understand real-world risks.
A LITTLE MORE ON WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Front-End Engineering & Feature Delivery
ONE LAST THING..
Authenticity is important to us. We value the unique qualities and experiences you bring. So if you apply, just be your genuine self. It's who we want!
