Job Description

Are you a commercially-minded finance leader looking to shape strategy and drive impact?

McDonald’s is seeking a qualified finance professional to play a pivotal role in commercial decision-making across our UK & Ireland business. You’ll partner with franchisees, evaluate strategic opportunities, and support high-level financial planning that influences business success.

This role involves working closely with both Finance and non-Finance management to make recommendations that focus on ‘doing the right thing’ and not the ‘easy’ thing and ensure the long-term financial success for both McDonald’s and our franchisees

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Strategic Partner – Work closely with Franchisee Directors, supporting financial decision-making.
  • Franchising & Commercial Expert – Lead financial modelling for franchise transactions and investments.
  • Business Influencer – Collaborate with Finance, Operations & Legal teams on strategy and execution.
  • Risk & Growth Advisor – Assess market conditions to support sustainable business expansion.
  • Operations Finance Leader – Provide financial training and insights to stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

  • CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record in financial modelling and business planning
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities
  • An ability to work cross-functionally and network, building strong relationships and influence partners
  • A self-starter mindset with ambition to progress
