Graduate Trainee Engineer-ideally someone in their second professional role-who is ready to accelerate their career towards management and leadership.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all facets of our client's manufacturing business, with a clear pathway to future leadership positions within their company and wider group.
To be considered you must have a Drivers Licence and permanent leave to stay and work in the UK (No post study work visa's as sponsorship is not available).
What You'll Do.
You'll be immersed in a structured training programme, working alongside experienced managers and engineers to develop your skills in:
- Product Design & Specification: Contribute to the creation and refinement of our products.
- CAD Design: Get involved in the technical design process and modern manufacturing techniques.
- Quality & Certification: Support our ISO 9001 quality management and product certification.
- Costing & Purchasing: Learn the commercial side of manufacturing, including cost analysis and supplier management.
- Sales Support: Work with our sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical input.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Prepare management reports and contribute to ongoing business improvement initiatives.
- Health & Safety: Help maintain and improve our H&S standards.
What We're Looking For
- An apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or General Engineering.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (1-2 years post-graduation preferred). This is essential and profiles without this will be rejected so please do not apply unless you already have either a placement year in manufacturing or post graduation work experience.
- Excellent people skills- essential as the role will develop into a leadership position in time. You will be working with manufacturing operatives and senior engineering staff so you will need to be adaptable and empathetic with strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with CAD software .
- Experience with Sage 50 or similar manufacturing software (a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
- Ambitious, motivated, and keen to progress into management.
- Living within daily commuting distance of Stanmore.
- Full UK driving licence.
