Workman's Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded, long-established social housing contractor that has been trading for 80 years. They specialise in servicing long-term and unique planned capital works, cyclical decorations, major works, and retrofit schemes for some of the largest housing associations and councils.

You will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, and managing a team of tradespeople across a range of refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities & Works:

  • Plan, supervise, and oversee daily operations at site level, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety protocols and full compliance with legislation.
  • Manage a team of skilled tradespeople across various refurbishment projects, ensuring work is completed to client specifications and within the set timeframes.
  • Liaise with clients, the public, and subcontractors, maintaining strong working relationships and excellent communication.
  • Perform pre-work inspections, set up work areas, and conduct post-inspections.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safe start meetings on-site, ensuring all teams are equipped for success.
  • Ensure productivity and KPIs are met, and maintain high standards of work and safety on-site.
  • Regularly report project progress and updates to the Contracts Manager.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to internal and external contractors on-site.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Manual Driving License
  • IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS/SMSTS.
  • Expertise in refurbishment, including roofing, window & door replacements, M&E, and retrofit projects.
  • Experience supervising teams of tradespeople across a variety of sites.
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Ability to manage client relationships and interact with contractors
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and maintain a high standard of work across multiple sites.

  • Monday to Friday
